| Author: Lewis CarrollLewis Carroll was born in 1832 in a small town in the north-west of England. His real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. He was a teacher of Maths at Christ Church College but he didn’t enjoy this job very much.
In his free time he wrote many short stories. His best-known work, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, was published（出版）in 1865. It was so popular that Carroll became rich and famous. Later in 1871 he published another ‘Alice’ book called Alice Through The Looking Glass. He never moved away from the college. In 1867 he went to Russia but this was the only time he travelled to foreign countries. He died in January 1898. |
