Do you want to live a happier life? Try laughing for no reason．That’s how millions of people start their day at Laughter Yoga (瑜伽) Clubs around the world, and many doctors now think that having a good laugh might be one of the best ways to stay healthy.

The first Laughter Yoga Club was started in Mumbai, India, in 1995 by Dr Madan Kataria．“Young children laugh about 300 times a day．Adults laugh between 7 and 15 times a day,” said Dr Kataria．“Everyone’s naturally good at laughing．We want people to feel happy with their lives.”

A 5-year study in California shows that laughter can alleviate stress in our body and improve our health．So, what is Laughter Yoga? I went to my nearest Laughter Yoga Club to find out．I was quite nervous at first, because I thought laughing with a group of strangers could make me look silly．Our laughter teacher told us to clap (拍) our hands and say, “ho ho ho, ha ha ha.” He said our bodies couldn’t tell the difference between fake (假的) laughter and real laughter, so they both worked．Ten minutes later, everybody in the room was laughing for real．At the end of the class, I was surprised by how relaxed and comfortable I felt.

As Dr Kataria said, “When you laugh, you change, and when you change, the world changes around you.” So if you’re under stress, just start laughing.

Carlos, Marie and their three-year-old little brother Mosh had some free time before dinner．There was a TV show about fire safety, so they watched it．The show was about to end when Mrs．Garza said, “Wash your hands．It’s time for dinner．”
