传统节日与风俗

春节

1.The Spring Festival is one of the most important festivals in China.

2.Family members get together and then have a big dinner. After dinner, people like to watch TV.

There is a great Spring Festival Gala on TV every year.

3.During the festival, we wear new clothes and children often get lucky money.

4. During the Spring Festival, the elders of a family give their children or grandchildren money to show their best wishes for the next year.

5. We usually visit our relatives and friends during the festival.

6. During the Spring Festival, people put up New Year’s pictures and set off fireworks. Families get together and have big meals. They dress up to visit friends and relatives. Kids get lucky money from their parents and relatives.

7. On that day, people give gifts to their parents or take them out for dinner. It’s also a good idea to help parents do something.

元宵节

8. On this day, we usually eat tangyuan which means all the families get together and enjoy their nice time.

9. While making lanterns, people usually write riddles on them.

10.In China, we think lanterns can break darkness as well as bring warmth and hope to people, so at night, we can enjoy red lanterns in different sizes along the street.

中秋节

11.China has many traditional festivals in the year.Among them, I like the Mid-Autumn Festival best.

12. In traditional Chinese culture, the moon on the festival night is believed to be the fullest and brightest of the whole year, symbolizing(象征)family reunion(团圆).

13. We sit together, admire the moon and enjoy the delicious mooncakes after dinner.

15. My favorite festival is the Dragon Boat Festival, which has a long history and is celebrated on the fifth day of May according to the Chinese lunar calendar. It is in memory of a great ancient poet named Qu Yuan.

14. You are supposed to shake hands when you meet someone for the first time.

15. When you meet someone for the first time, you’re supposed to shake their hands and take off your hat before shaking hands instead of hugging or kissing.

17.In China, people seldom give extra money to waiters, waitresses, taxi drivers or hotel workers.
