考点1  1．a little的用法

[教材原句]　And then，of course，I need a little sleep．   然后，当然，我需要小睡一会儿。

a little的用法

解析：a little在句中做定语修饰不可数名词，意为“一点儿；一会儿”。

例：There is a little money left in the bag．

包里还剩一点儿钱。

拓展：

a little还可在句中做状语。

例：My uncle knows a little about French．

我叔叔懂一点儿法语。

a little和little 均修饰不可数名词。其中，a little意为“一点儿，少量”，表示肯定意义；little意为“几乎没有，很少”，表示否定意义。not a little相当于very (much)，意为“很，非常”。

例：I am not a little hungry．   我很饿。

a few和few均修饰可数名词。其中，a few意为“几个，少数”，表示肯定意义；few意为“几乎没有”，表示否定意义。not a few/ no few/quite a few相当于many，意为“很多的”。

注意：few被every、last、past、next、some、very等词修饰时，表示的是肯定意义，few前不可再加冠词。

例：I go to the countryside to see my grandparents every few weeks．

我每隔几周就去乡下看望我的祖父母。

In the last few minutes，he checked up his paper again．

在最后几分钟，他又把试卷核对了一遍。

解析：one day意为“某一天，一天”，既可指过去的某一天，也可指将来的某天(此时相当于some day或someday)。

例：One day，he went out for a walk after supper．

有一天，他晚饭后出去散步。

I’d like to have dinner with you one day/ some day．

我想有一天和你一起吃顿晚饭。

解析：all是形容词，意为“所有的，全部的”。

例：All the students are in the classroom．

所有的学生都在教室里。
