Changing a capital city

There are many cities in most countries. But every country has one special city-the capital. For example, China’s capital city is Beijing. The capital of  the UK is London. New Delhi is the capital of  India.

The capital city is important. It is home to a country’s central government（中央政府）. Many important offices are there. Leaders（领导人） of a country work and live there. It’s often the center of a country’s economy（经济）and culture too.

Because it is so special, countries do not often change their capital city.

But Indonesia（印度尼西亚）recently said that it is going to build a new capital on the island of  Borneo. Jakarta , its current（现在的）capital, is sinking（下沉）into the sea. The city has taken out too much groundwaster（地下水）.

It will not be easy to change the capital city. Officials from the Indonesia government say it will take around 10 years and cost about $32 billion（十亿）,CNN reported .

Chasing each other for fun

Tag!  You’re “ it ”! Do you play this game with your friends? In this game , one player is “ it ”. He or she chases（追逐）all the other players. When “ it ” touches another player, that player becomes “it”.

This game has been around for a long time and children in many countries play it. Part of  the reason, I think, is because it is simple. The rules are easy to understand and you don’t need any special equipment（装备）to play. You just need your hands and feet.

I didn’t play tag too much when I was a kid, mostly because I was never a very fast runner. But it was still pretty popular among my friends and I when we were young.
