一、副词的概念

副词用来修饰动词、形容词、副词或整个句子，是说明时间、地点、程度、方式等概念的词。它的位置比较灵活，可以位于实义动词之前，be动词、情态动词、助动词之后，也可以位于谓语动词之后。我们已学的副词大体上可以分为：

1.修饰动词，一般位于被修饰的动词之后。例如：

The girl cried sadly．女孩伤心地哭了。

2.程度副词一般修饰形容词和副词，位于被修饰词之前。例如：

His trousers are too long．他的裤子太长了。

3.时间副词、地点副词和方式副词一般位于句末。例如：

They went to the zoo yesterday．他们昨天去了动物园。

Please put the bottle here．请把瓶子放在这儿。

He ran to the school gate quickly．他迅速地跑向学校大门。

4.频度副词一般位于be动词、情态动词和助动词之后，实义动词之前。例如：

He is always late for school．他上学总是迟到。

I usually get up at seven in the morning．我通常早上7点起床。

三、形容词和副词的用法区别

在句子中，形容词一般作定语用来修饰名词，位于被修饰的名词之前，或作表语，位于系动词之后；副词常用来修饰动词、形容词、其他副词或者全句，表示时间、地点、程度、方式等，位置比较灵活。例如：

Mike plays football well．迈克足球踢得好。

The children also shouted excitedly．孩子们也兴奋地叫了起来。

四、形容词变副词的基本规则

注意：有些以-ly结尾的词不是副词，而是形容词。如：friendly(友好的)，lovely(可爱的)。
